Contact London Bed Bug Editorial About This Site

You can email the editorial team about errors, better sources and out-of-date council details. We cannot arrange treatment or give advice about your own home.

Who to write to

Email the editorial team at leads@londonbedbug.co.uk. A person reads the inbox, although replies can take a few days. We write to everyone who sends a specific, checkable report.

Use this address for three things:

  • Corrections to a guide, a borough page or a blog post.
  • Source suggestions, such as a newer NHS, GOV.UK or council page.
  • Council updates, for example a changed web address or a service that has closed.

What this site cannot do

This site has no phone line and no enquiry form. We do not take bookings, and we cannot arrange treatment. We also cannot give advice about your own home, because we have not seen it.

Please do not send photos of bites or insects and expect a diagnosis. However, the NHS bed bug page explains what bites look like and when to speak to a pharmacist or GP. Messages that ask for help with a live infestation may not get a personal reply, and that is why we point you to the council and the guides above.

If you need help with bed bugs

Start with the people who can act. Your council may run a pest control service, and some councils also help renters in poor conditions. Our London areas directory links to the guide for each borough.

If you think you have bed bugs tonight, read the urgent bed bug help guide. It covers what to do first and what to avoid. Therefore you can make a calm plan before you call anyone.

If you want a professional to inspect your home, use the “Request help” link on this site. It opens BedbugExtermination.co.uk, a separate site with its own privacy information. Since it is not part of this site, we cannot answer questions about its service.

What to include in a correction

A good report lets us check the problem in a few minutes. Please send:

  • The page address, for example the full link from your browser.
  • What is wrong, quoted or described as exactly as you can.
  • The source that shows the right answer, with a link if possible.

For instance, if a council has moved its pest control page, send the old page and the new address. We will open the source, compare it with our text and fix the page. Furthermore, we update the “last changed” date so readers can see the change.

What happens after you write

We read each message and check the claim against the source you give us. If the source supports your point, we change the page and add the new date. If it does not, we may write back to ask for more detail.

We do not share your email address or message with anyone. Because we keep no enquiry form, your email program is the only place your message sits before it reaches us. Please leave out phone numbers, home addresses and health details, since we do not need them to fix a page.

More about us

Read the about page to see who runs the site and how we keep it independent. Our sources and editorial standard page explains how we choose and check every fact.

Sources and further checks

Open each source before you act, because council services, prices, tenancy rules and product labels can change. We list the pages this guide relied on when it was last checked.

Service boundary: this site does not collect an enquiry. Request professional help opens a separate site with its own privacy information.
